About Thom O'Connor

Thom O'Connor is a New York-based photographer,

a creator of fine art, and a visual educator. Thom has been producing unique images for more than five decades.

Thom's fine art photographs have hung in galleries in the United States and Europe, and is an exhibiting

member of Soho Photo Gallery in New York City.

For editorial and corporate clients, as the proprietor of

The TableTop Studio, Thom shoots people and places,

gear and gadgets, for use in print and on the Web.

Thom has taught photography--digital and film--for

many years at university undergraduate

and graduate levels.

Thom is an exhibiting member of Soho Photo Gallery in Manhattan. Founded in 1971, Soho Photo is one of New York City's most vibrant

non-profit venues for fine art photography.

Thom has been an exhibiting member for seven years at Fotofoto Gallery, in Huntington, New York. Fotofoto is a co0perative gallery of fine art photographers, who present creative new work each month.

- COLLEGE OF NEW ROCHELLE -

At The College of New Rochelle, Thom taught digital photography, Photoshop techniques,

and Web design, for both art majors and non-artists.

- LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY -

Thom taught at Long Island University for eight years, instructing in black & white film photography, digital imaging, view camera technique, studio and location lighting methods,

large format printing, Photoshop and Lightroom, and portfolio and exhibition development.
